The name "Human Sacrifice Theatre" was
derived from the concept and belief that actors
sacrifice all elements of themselves each and
every time they walk on stage.
As
an independent Australian Theatre Company, HUMAN
SACRIFICE was spawned with aim of both allowing
actors Justin Hosking & Mark Diaco to not
only work on theatre pieces that inspire them,
but to also use such quality productions as a
vehicle to promote their own talents, as such, a
joint venture between Mark and Justin
eventuated. Due to the lack of work for actors
in Melbourne, along with their mutual need to
constantly hone their craft, both actors have
put it upon themselves to create their own
work.

| Both actors have trained and performed in the
U.S and have recently returned to Australia. Sam
Shepard's "True West" marked the
companies first production and was met with rave
reviews.
The
2007 season is set to be a special one, with
some award winning plays such as Jez
Butterworth's "Mojo" and
"Glengarry Glen Ross" written by David
Mamet. That along
with our strong cast of actors devoted to taking
artistic risks, HST is the theatre experience
with an edge!
